Joannie Hennen 
SVP, Human Resources

Joannie is our Senior Vice President, Human Resources with more than 15 years’ experience in Human Resources and is credited with enhancing many HR functions, including leadership development, HR system management, benefits administration, performance management best practices, policies and compliance, talent acquisition management, amongst many more. By embracing Nova’s culture and company vision, Joannie is a great voice in our community as we continue to build and grow the Nova Group community and work towards enhancing all things HR. In her free time, Joannie enjoys the outdoors spending many weekends camping and ATV trail riding with family and friends, spends many nights and weekends supporting her two children’s sports activities (volleyball, softball, baseball, football, and wrestling), and also volunteers in the community.

Trent Augustus

Senior Project Manager

Trent is an SPM with our Construction Services Group (CSG) with 20+ years’ experience in building construction, construction management, build cost analysis, property condition assessment, and construction loan monitoring. Trent lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associate of Science in Building Construction from Utah Valley University. Trent loves that he gets to work on projects throughout the U.S., and even internationally in Canada, the U.K., the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia. In August of 2018, Trent joined Nova as a Property Condition Assessment professional. After a few months, he was invited to help Nova’s Construction Services Group (CSG), learning their project delivery model and clients. He was soon promoted to Senior Project Manager and took a permanent position with the CSG team. Trent shares about his CSG role: “I have really enjoyed the challenges and growth of the new role and haven’t looked back since.” He further elaborates, “Nova leadership has been fantastic and tremendously supportive. Without hesitation, they assured me they had confidence in me.” When Trent isn’t working on Nova projects, he is working on his own home projects, as he loves carpentry, working on everything from custom homes and furniture to timber work. He also loves hiking, camping, kayaking, and more recently, finding open water for scuba diving.

Jasmine Arrington

Associate Project Manager

Jasmine is an Associate Project Manager at Nova. She is a Georgia native; born, raised and educated. She graduated from Spelman College (Atlanta, Ga) with a B.S in Environmental Science and recently graduated from Fort Valley University (Fort Valley) with her M.S. in Public Health, Environmental Health. Jasmine interned and worked on small projects with a previous consulting firm bringing 5 years of experience to the team. She is a mother to a handsome 8-month-old boy, Jacen and her shih tzu dog, Peanut. In addition, she is a loving wife to her husband Jakeem. When Jasmine is not working, you can find her listening to various genres of music, cooking, observing nature, educating the youth or being artistic in a jumbo coloring book.

Michael Lang

Project Manager

Michael has over five years of experience conducting environmental investigations and property assessments. He has performed numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments at multifamily residential, commercial, automotive repair and fueling facilities, and various industrial/manufacturing facilities. He is OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER-certified and has managed numerous Phase II Subsurface Investigations, including overseeing drilling, collection of soil/groundwater samples, and underground storage tank (UST) closure and removal projects. He is also a Steel Tank Institute SP-001 Certified Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector. Michael graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries/Environmental Science. He is an outdoor enthusiast who is inspired by nature and driven by adventure. You can find him hiking and mountain biking or searching for new fishing spots on the weekends.
